Gov. Matt Bevin isn’t a Lil Wayne fan.
It’s a fact that no one in Kentucky knew, or even thought of, until the Republican blasted the award-winning rapper Monday night for his performance at the College Football Playoff National Championshiphalftime show.
Lil Wayne — 36-year-old Dwayne Michael Carter Jr. who goes by a variety of nicknames including Lil Tunechi and Weezy F. Baby — performed alongside rock band Imagine Dragons during the Clemson and Alabama matchup.
Lil Wayne was rocking a brimmed black hat, glittery sunglasses, red pants, knee-high boots, fingerless gloves and a striped scarf during his performance of his song “Uproar.”
Needless to say, it wasn’t Bevin’s thing.
“Way to ruin an entertaining Imagine Dragons half-time concert with the weird rantings of a tired, has-been like Lil Tunechi… One act still rising…The other, not so much…,” Bevin tweeted.
Weezy did not respond to Bevin’s tweet. Clemson beat Alabama, 44-16.
