Bowling Green, Ky (WBKO) — Elections are less than a month away and GOP candidates held a meet and greet at the Victory Offices in Bowling Green on Sunday, October 7.

Candidates on the city and state level briefly spoke to community members.

Chairman David Graham said this was an opportunity for the community to come out and meet those who they may be voting for.

“We just want to give all the candidates an opportunity to speak but the community an opportunity to come out and meet the folks. We have people say all the time that they don’t have a chance to talk to their representatives and today was a great opportunity to do that,” said Graham.

He said it’s also a good way for the public to stay informed.

There was only a 20% voter turnout in the primaries in May so candidates are hoping to increase that in November.
