HARLAN/LETCHER COUNTIES, Ky. (WYMT) – Governor Matt Bevin made several funding announcements in the region on Saturday.

One of those was in Harlan County.

$326,189 in discretionary funding will pave eight different roads,

$223,189 will be used for six roads in the county. Those roads are: Cawood Branch Road, Morris Lane, Salt Trace Branch Road, Reuben Branch Road, Grays Branch Road and Daniel Mountain Road.

$103,000 will go to resurface River Street and Central Street in the city of Harlan.

Governor Bevin then traveled to Letcher County to announce more discretionary funding.

The county was awarded $320,776 for slide repairs and resurfacing for Carcassone Road, Cinnamon Drive and Bull Creek.

The city of Fleming-Neon was also given $76,320 for resurfacing East Potter Road, Henry Hutton Road, North Abdoo Street and South Abdoo Street.
