MOUNT STERLING, Ky. (WYMT) – A pawn shop in Montogomery County is facing several charges after an investigation found hundreds of stolen items.

Sister station WKYT reports investigators found the owners of Layton’s Pawn Shop, Scott Hardy and Beth Willis, were illegally purchasing firearms and not registering them.

Hundreds of weapons taken from the shop were found to be stolen. They store lost their license to sell weapons years ago.

Police also found cocaine, marijuana, prescription drugs, “magic mushroom,” and more than $100,000 in cash at Hardy’s home next to the pawn shop.
