FRANKFORT, Ky. (WYMT) – Kentucky is receiving nearly $5.5 million for enhanced election security.
A total of $389 million will be distributed to most states.
The Secretary of State’s office said a majority of the money will go to counties to upgrade voting equipment.
The new equipment will have to provide a paper trail.
The rest of the money will go towards security and auditing.
