FRANKFORT, Ky. (WYMT) – Kentucky and four other states have filed another lawsuit against the Obama administration over discrimination protections for transgender people.

The lawsuit filed Tuesday seeks to block parts of a nondiscrimination mandate of the health care law.

Some lawmakers in Texas think it could force doctors to help with gender transition against their religious convictions.

Along with Texas and Kentucky, Wisconsin, Nebraska and Kansas also joined the lawsuit.

The lawsuit comes a day after a federal judge blocked a directive that would have required public schools to let transgender students use the bathroom of their choice. Kentucky is part of a lawsuit against that directive as well.
